Mrs. Gloria Diri, wife of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State organized a low key event to mark the 2020 Children day celebration in her office. She used the medium to advice parents, guardians and teachers to teach children good characters. She gave this advice while addressed students from the Ijaw National Academy, Kaiama and some outstanding students who were present. Members of Bayelsa State branch of the Government Girls Secondary School, Harbour Road, Port Harcourt Alumni Association were present too.
Mrs. Diri Said, both girls and boys children are important to the growth of society and should be given equal opportunity to explore especially education.
She assured Bayelsans that the current administration of Consolidation for Prosperity would make more investments in the education of children in the state as the future lays on the education of the children.
After her brief speech she and her team visit some sick children at the Federal Medical Center, Mountain of Fire Miracle home for sick and Diette- Koki Memorial hospital all in Yenago metropolis. She offer cash and material gifts to the sick children and also pray with them.
She thanked the wife of the Presidents Her Excellency, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the mother of the Federation for her support and love for the Nigerian child and also thanked the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice (Mrs.) Kate Abiri for her support.
