GESI NEWS: A Nigerian Pastor Escape Dead

                                         

Pastor Okochi Chukwu Obeni was tortured and flogged for hours because of a post he criticized on facebook about a local traditional official who failed to construct a road for his people.

He was abuse by local traditional council in the Afikpo North area of the south-eastern state of Ebonyi.

 According to him, they called him to a meeting and made him to lie on his back and face the sun for hours and later gave him 50 lashes. After the beating they tied his hand to the back and made him lie in filthy waters for other hours while they filmed the whole incident. They upload the video on social media and it attracted human right activist.

With the help of the human right group he was taken to hospital and also pay some of his hospital bills. 

The human right group have taken up the matter and they have arrested some of the people involved.
