Alaibe May Head for Supreme Court …as Court of Appeal Dismisses Suit against Gov. Douye Diri

The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has dismissed the appeal filed by Chief Ndutimi Alaibe, challenging the Peoples Democratic Party’s primaries that produced Senator Douye Diri as the Governorship candidate of the Party in Bayelsa State.

By this development the Bayelsa State-born frontline politician and technocrat might head for the Supreme Court in continuation of his quest to occupy the state’s Apex House, which is currently being occupied by his kins man and supposedly one of his close associates, Senator Douye Diri, who is believed to be wrongfully occupying the position following perceived irregularities that characterised the Party’s governorship primary elections in the state in 2019 .

But the court of Appeal dismissed the suit for lacking in merit and upheld an earlier judgment of a Federal High Court in Owerri.
